FOR ALL WONDERFUL MOTHERS

Happy Mother’s day to all the mothers in this world! They are wonderful and dearly loved, especially to my Mama Emma and Mama Norma. Even a million thanks will not be enough to show how special you all are. And so this poem I specially wrote is for all special mothers.

HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH TO SAY THANK YOU MOM

Is it enough to say thank you with a bottle of perfume,
When you carried us nine months in your womb;
Is it enough to say thank you with a bouquet of roses,
When you cherished us like gold where rainbows is;

Is it enough to say thank you with a cup of tea,
When we were babies you feed us milk patiently;
Is it enough to say thank you with a slice of cake,
When you can sacrifice not to eat for our sake;

Is it enough to say thank you with a box of chocolates,
When you loved us even before our birthdates;
Is it enough to say thank you with a tray of baked goodies,
When you taught us to appreciate the aroma of mornings and understand life’s complexities;

Is it enough to say thank you with a treat downtown,
When you picked us up when we were down;
Is it enough to say thank you with free movie ticket,
When no second thoughts you’re willing to pull from your pocket;

Is it enough to say thank you with a pearl necklace,
When you’re always there to give us warm embrace;
Is it enough to say thank you with a greeting card,
When you’re always there to share our triumphs and tears when time gets hard;

Is it enough to say thank you with hugs and kisses,
When you took care of us without excuses;
Is it enough to say thank you with a sweet embrace and smile,
When you’re there to remind that life is always worthwhile;

Is it enough to say thank you with a simple prayer,
That God may always protect and guide you so you may carry life’s struggles easier;
Is it enough to say thank you and that I always love you;
Ah, no! It will never be enough, even if I really do!
